This course is an introduction to British Sign Language for those interested learning basic signs or with a view to progressing onto a BSL level 1 qualification. Students will learn to communicate with Deaf people in British Sign Language (BSL) at a basic level, using basic words and phrases in familiar/everyday situations, eg everyday language including meetings and greetings, fingerspelling and work-related signs along with some deaf awareness. The course is ideal for those who want to take their first steps to learning BSL before committing to a longer course.
